ARLINGTON -- Mary Frances Woodard, went home with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Arlington.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, Lane A. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington.

Mary was born in LeFlore, Oklahoma to Steve and Lilly Duke. After WWII, she married David Woodard, an Iwo Jima veteran, and they were married for 62 years. She had a 25 year career in real estate. Mary and Dave enjoyed many years of traveling in their RV. Mary was loved by her family and everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Woodard; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors: Son, Deuane Woodard; daughter, Diana Keown and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Josh, Leslie, Jonathan and Rachel; and great-grandson, Hudson.

It was always a special occasion when I was growing up when Junior and Frances would come to visit us – my Mom, Eliabeth Wackerly, would light up like a firefly – she loved baking pies for them – Frances was a gracious, fine lady, and you could see the love she and Junior had for each other. It was a privilege to know her.
