Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was also a member of the Arlington Woman's Club and volunteered regularly for Meals on Wheels. An avid bridge player, she was able to continue playing even when the disease robbed her of other abilities. She loved to sing, solve crossword puzzles, watch old movies and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, even when others had given up. The family says a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Pecan Park Assisted Living and Claire Bridge and to nurses at Envoy Hospice. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, in 1993 and her six siblings. Survivors: Son, Gary L. Burton III and wife, Marilyn; daughters, Diane Mayfield and husband, David, and Nancy L'Amie; grandchildren, Davis Mayfield, Emily Lewis, Lee Burton, Sarah Mayfield, Randi Beth Burton, Lauren L'Amie and Charlotte L'Amie; and six great-grandchildren.
