Mark Sessumes, 60, passed away on August 10, 2021, in Fort Worth, TX. Visitation with family and friends will be on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home,4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013. The memorial service for Mark Sessumes will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Kennedale, 309 N. Kenney St. Kennedale, TX 76060. Mark will be cremated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mark's name to First Baptist Kennedale for their work in the community. The link is https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=JMX4JP4CWN4DN. Mark Sessumes was born on October 22, 1960 in Wichita Falls, TX, to Marion Lewis Sessumes and Merle Yoakum Sessumes. He graduated from Lewisville High School in 1979, and went on to earn a Bachelors degree from the University of North Texas in 1987 and a Masters degree from the University of Dallas in 1991. He started his career at Spring Engineers, then traveled to Sacramento, CA to work for Greyhound. He returned to Arlington in 1995, and began his career with TMAC, which originally stood for Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center, and eventually changed to Technical and Management Assistance & Consulting. He was one of the original field engineers and worked diligently to keep Texas manufacturers competitive. Mark became the Metroplex Regional Director of TMAC and served in that capacity for 5 years, then moved into the Statewide Executive Director position in 2017, for which he continued to develop and improve manufacturing in the state of Texas and throughout the United States. Mark worked at TMAC for a total of 26 years. Mark met Kia Wilson at the University of North Texas in February of 1982, and they married on March 7, 1987 at Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. They had 3 children - Raine, Dalton and Alaina. Mark was best known for loving to camp with his family, drinking tar (black goopy coffee), working out, cycling, cooking new and exciting recipes, posing many questions in Sunday School, fishing, hiking, walking his dog Trixie, listening to all types of music and sharing songs with his kids, sitting with Kia on the couch at night and watching many movies and you tube videos, taking road trips, and collecting all different genres of whiskey. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially loved sitting out on the back patio enjoying nature. Mark is preceded in death by his father Marion Lewis Sessumes. Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kia Sessumes, his children Raine, Dalton, Alaina and Alaina's fiance', Wesley Lee, his mother, Merle Sessumes, his brother, Lewis Sessumes, and numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many great friends.
