Lyn Jean Crepeau

Euless – Lynette “Lyn” J. Crepeau, 71, of Euless, died peacefully on Thursday, June 24th, 2021, at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB, Euless. Memorial graveside service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX, Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at 9:30 in the morning. Lyn was born on October 1, 1949, in Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of Maurice and Sylvia (Lawson) Crepeau. Lyn graduated from St. Andrews High School, Charleston, NC, and Winthrop College, Rock Hill, NC, which set her life in motion to become a dedicated member of our military and climb her way to the rank of Colonel before retiring. Lyn served our country in the United States Army from 1971 – 1999 retiring as a Colonel. Lyn served our country during Vietnam, Invasion of Panama, Gulf and Desert Storm and served in Berlin as part of the forefront of free world resistance to communism where she was awarded the map of the divided city as a symbol of dedicated support for the cause of freedom. Lyn served in Haiti as part of the humanitarian mission to help restore democracy and provide provisions for our troops. Lyn was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupational Medal (Berlin), and Army Commendation Medal. After retiring from the military, Lyn was a senior instructor for American Airlines Sabre division and was known for training style and professional dedication. Upon retiring from Sabre, Lyn joined Rome Research Corp as a Wide Area Workflow Instructor which allowed her to travel internationally. Lyn dedicated her life to helping those in need and volunteered her time at several different food pantries and golf courses in the HEB area. She also volunteered for the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament for the past several years an event she thoroughly enjoyed. Lyn was preceded in death by her father, Maurice (Frenchy) Crepeau, and mother, Sylvia (Lawson) Crepeau. She is survived by her beloved dog Jack; Her uncle and aunt, Terry and Barbara Lawson, cousins, Randy Lawson and Brad Lawson, all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; longtime friends, Kim Krawczyk, Chesapeake, Virginia, Lester Kelly, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Dorothy (Dot) Koenigseder and family, Jesse and Amy (Koenigseder) Flores, daughter Jordan, Rob and Tammy Koenigseder, children, Zachary and Zoe, Fort Worth, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dodd (Dick and Rusty), Star-Tannery, Virginia, Mary McBeth, Dallas, Texas; and many friends who helped Lyn these last several years.
