Lucy passed away on June 25, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer, without sharing any of her burden with family and friends. She was born August 5, 1956 in Three Rivers to Simon Alderete & Elida Alegria.
Dancing, spending time with family and margaritas were Lucy’s idea of a great time.
You would always see her with a smile, happy and full of energy. If you ever needed her, you could find her at her favorite spot, Mariano’s, having a margarita or on the dance floor at a Tejano concert.
Her love for life was radiating and she lived it to the fullest. She would light up any room she walked into and was truly the life of the party.
Lucy was an extremely loving and giving person. She opened her home and her heart to anyone in need, always making sure everyone was taken care of.
Lucy leaves behind so many loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Laura Hernandez; and her father, Simon Alderete.
Lucy is survived by her mother, Elida Alderete; her children, Gabriel Alderete and fiancé Evelyn, Michael Hernandez Jr. and wife Erica; her sisters, Enedina Salinas and Linda Tovar; her grandchildren, Damion and Jaden Alderete, Esperanza, Dolorez, Fae, Evelyn and Michael Hernandez III; Nieces and nephews, Christina Cotter, Christopher Lopez and wife Teresa, Angelica Tolliver and husband Julian, Vanessa de Leon and fiancé Erik, Sierra and Isabella Cotter, Elijah Lopez, Eddie, Evelyn Garcia, Jayden Tolliver and Jayvyn Santiago.
May she Rest In Peace, back in the arms of her babygirl, dancing and rejoicing with the Lord.
