ARLINGTON -- Laura McElyea, 82, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, in Arlington. Graveside service: 9:15 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Laura was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Gunter. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy McElyea; and one son, Kenny Knox. Survivors: Daughter, Karen Wiggs (Kerry); son, Rick Poteet(Dianne); daughter-in-law, Kelli Knox; stepdaugthter, Vicki Sinderson (David); sister, Faye Sparks; grandchildren, Nathan, Ashley, Tyler, Canda and Colby; great-grandchildren, Kayley, Wade and Colton.
