Justin Ryan Harper, 21, of Arlington peacefully passed away on February 7, 2023 at home.

He was born in Denison, Texas to Dawnette Onstead Thompson and his adopted parents, James and Susan Harper on October 12, 2001.

At a young age, Justin was fascinated with his bug collections, snails, butterflies and lizards. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball for many years. He had a passion for being outdoors, especially when he was fishing, which led him to becoming a member of the Tarrant Christian Bass Club for several years and the Kennedale High School fishing team.

Justin was very talented with his drawings and received some awards for them. He stayed busy at the skate parks and skating rinks with friends. He joined the speed skating team for a couple of years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends with the online gaming and with family.

He also enjoyed following the weather and was our meteorologist.

Justin is survived by his loving parents, James and Susan Harper; his biological mother, Dawnette Onstead Thompson; his grandmother, Norma Horstman; his grandfather, Bob Harper; and his biological grandmother, Sherri Onstead.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Horstman; and his grandmother, Ann Harper. He will be forever cherished and remembered by other family and friends.
