Born in: Pandalam, India
Resided in: Arlington, TX

The Lord called Joy Simon home on the 13th of March, 2022, at the age of 80. Joy Simon was personally called by God to ministry at the age of 19, and since then he has lived for the sole purpose of fulfilling the work assigned to him by God.

Ever since stepping into ministry, Simon has endured unimaginable hardships and trials for the sake of the gospel. His life has been filled with loneliness due to his fiery determination to stand up for the truth of God’s word. He has been misunderstood by most because of his strict adherence to the truth and his honest teachings.

Regardless of the countless trials and tribulations both physical and mental, he was steadfast in his faith and yearned to continue working for Christ to the very end. No matter who opposed him or how many friends he lost, he stood unwavering for the truth of Jesus Christ. He always considered it an honor to please God rather than please man. He was a fierce warrior of Christ who stood against unrighteousness. He preached the gospel with power everywhere he went and to every person he met, and his life and ministry was filled with the miraculous power of God working through him. We have had the privilege of witnessing countless people being healed by the power of God through his prayer, and we ourselves have been blessed to live by this power.

But most of all, his heart was filled and overflowing with love for every single person he met. He loved with a Godly love. His incredible love towards others often brought him immense pain but he continued to love, and forgive, and ask for forgiveness as an example for us. He taught us that the way to grow closer to God and fulfill His will is to forgive each other and love endlessly.

This man, to the very last breath, believed and continued to teach that the return of Jesus Christ was imminent. He longed to see that day, waiting patiently while fulfilling his work, and to that end, he lived his life in constant preparation for it. He has taught us all well and shown us by his own example how a born-again Christian ought to prepare to go home with the Lord. His faith and his teachings have strengthened our own faith as we continue to yearn for that day as he did. We, his daughter Stenila Simon and wife Leelamma Simon are incredibly proud to have been instructed by, loved by, and brought to faith by this servant of God.
