DALWORTHINGTON GARDENS -- Johnny Larry Wright, 67, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, in Dalworthington Gardens. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 301 W. Sanford St., Arlington, with Pastor Nathan Finch and Pastor Raymond Johns officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. John was born April 9, 1947, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Henry Bascom Wright and Virginia Lee Fannin Wright. He was a longtime Bedford and Arlington resident and was CEO of John Wright Associates in Arlington. John was a member of Church at Meadowcreek in Bedford and was active in the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and in the community. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Marie Wright; parents; and two brothers, Henry Harold Wright and the Rev. Vernon D. Wright. Survivors: His beloved wife of 47 years, Julia "Judi" Wright; sons, John Derek Wright and wife, Christine, and Brent Lee Wright and wife, Lauren; daughter, Jill Leslie Spain and husband, Jason; brothers, Jesse Lee Wright, Dr. Ballard D. Wright and Dr. Gene C. Wright; sister, Cora Wright Hughes; and grandchildren, Thomas Warren Henry, John Alexander Wright, Zachary Tyler Spain, Braydon Chase Wright, Ashton Donielle Wright, Avery Christine Wright, Harper Lee Wright, Triston Robert Spain, Marshall Scott Wright and Vincent Nolan Wright.
