Joe Douglas Morris

Joe Douglas Morris, age 72, formerly of Carrollton, TX passed Monday, May 1st after a short illness. The oldest child of Joe H and Edith Morris, he was born in China Lake, CA. The family also lived in Alma, GA, Little Rock, AR and finally landed in Arlington, TX in 1969.

Joe obtained his BS in Criminal Justice in 1974 and later his Masters in Urban Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He was a Dallas Police Officer for more than 12 years prior to starting his polygraph business, Help Services, based in Dallas.

Joe was a talented musician with the ability to play several different instruments. He also enjoyed golf, bowling, and most of all, spending time with his son, JD, who was also his best friend.

For many years, Joe attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Our Joe will be forever remembered by his son, JD Morris of Carrollton, his sister Joan Manson of Arlington, his former wife Diane Little Morris Martin of Carrollton, his nephew Hank Manson and niece, Hannah Manson of Arlington.

There will be a private family memorial service.
