Janell “Mama Bear” Snider, of Arlington, Texas, was called home to be with our heavenly father on Monday, July 20, 2020. She fought a long and courageous battle before joining her loving husband, Davis “Papa Bear” Snider of nearly 50 years at their new home in heaven. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Janell was a devoted and loving wife, mother, granny and “GiGi” who placed her family above all else. She was a “blue-ribbon” cook and always loved cooking for her family. Born May 28, 1938, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was from a large family with eleven siblings and survived by her sisters Helen Ramsey, Lucille Cottrell and Julie Harbour (Charles); children, Davis Wayne Snider Jr. and Brenda Neese (John); grandchildren, Stephen Snider, Justin Snider, Stacie Snider, Bradley Gantt (Kristen), Beau Gantt and Michele Flores (Walter); great-grandchildren, Maribel Flores and Kaylee Gantt; expected great-granddaughter, Leilani “Mo” Flores; step great-grandchildren, Jamie Phillips, Titus Phillips and Lillian Barnett, and extended family members, Jack Johnson (Lorraine), Johnny Johnson (Debbie), Jim Ballinger (Rose) and Marco Flores.   1. Sarah and I (Jack) loved visiting Janell in Dallas. We always felt welcomed by her and always loved to talk with her about everything. Janell and I took Sarah to the State Fair for the first time together. We will miss her.
