ARLINGTON -- Jamie Lou Huddleston, a longtime Arlington resident, passed to heaven on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, after a long battle with her health.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Fielder Road Baptist Church, 2011 S. Fielder Road, Arlington, with the Rev. Jerry Morris officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Jamie was born in Shawnee, Okla., on Jan. 7, 1950. She moved to Arlington in 1964 and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967. Jamie married her high school sweetheart, Mike, in 1969. She was the mother of Sharla and Jeff and grandmother of Hoyt and Hannah, whom she loved to spoil.
Survivors: Husband, Mike Huddleston; daughter, Sharla Huddleston; son, Jeff Huddleston and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Hoyt and Hannah Huddleston; father, Jim Hargett; mother, Mary Armstrong; sisters, Cheryl Jameson, Marla Presley and Lori Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
