James Walter Chaney Jr.

James Walter Chaney Jr. passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age on 59, in Fort Worth, Texas. James was born on February 1, 1964, on the Dyess Air Force base in Abilene, Texas to James W. and Petra Chaney. James, sometimes known as “Cowboy,” attended and graduated from North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. He was a very talented artist and craftsmen. He had the passion and skill to make something out of nothing.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Petra (Sanchez) Chaney, sister Patricia Lynn Chaney, brother Steven Ray Chaney, and son James Walter Chaney III.
He is survived by his father James Walter Chaney Sr., sisters Nancy Smith (Michael Smith), Penny Mason, Caitlin Chaney, daughter Jamie Lynn Grothe (Albert Grothe), grandson AJ, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will be having a private graveside service.
