ARLINGTON -- James Louis "Jim" Driggers, 81, a retired Air Force staff sergeant, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Kennedale. Memorial service: Noon Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Interment: 10:30 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: May be made to the Alzheimer's or Parkinson's Disease Association. Jim was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Bailey, to Artmus and Mary Maxwell Driggers. He was a disabled veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, retiring in 1970. Jim was also retired from Indiana University. After retiring, Jim and his wife, Teri, returned to Texas where he lived as a proud native Texan. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Barbara Jones; brother, Maxwell Driggers; and his sister, Sammye Irwin. Survivors: Loving wife, Teri Driggers; daughters, Mary A. Bond and husband, Tom, and Catherine Cochran; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends. Wade Family Funeral Home Arlington, 817-274-9233
