James Ivan “Jim” Humphries, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Arlington.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, at Parkdale Cemetery, 701 S. Mary St., Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 30, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Jim was born on October 3, 1931 in Kelly, LA to Ivan Stanley Humphries and Pearl Leith Devall Humphries. He was raised in Kelly and West Monroe, LA. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Jim married Mary Lou Miller on April 9, 1952. He worked for LTV, General Dynamics and retired from Lockheed Martin.
Jim enjoyed traveling. He dearly loved his family.
Survivors: Wife of 67 years, Mary Lou Miller Humphries; son, Ron Humphries; daughter, Paula Threlkeld and husband, Stan; sister, Donna Yates and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Tiffany Threlkeld and Amber Bennett and husband, Jake; and great-grandchildren, Madison Bennett and Luke Bennett.
