James, a nature lover at heart, found joy in watching various animals and feeding squirrels and cardinals. His interests in fishing, hunting, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins were well-known among his loved ones. He had a passion for classic Westerns, John Wayne movies, and the music of the Moody Blues. He adored spending time with his family and enjoyed many memorable moments with his daughters: Lisa Brown, Sarah Gunn, and Laura Little.

He is survived by his mother, Delores Patten, brother Paul Means, and sisters Dianne Fraley and sister-in-law Carol Means. James will be dearly missed by his grandkids Chancellor Little, Gage Phillips, Austin Korell, Keegan Korell, Kaden Korell, Jordan Kirk, Braylon Kirk, Taylor Kirk, Ryan Brown, Clover Brown, Mae Brown, Judah Brown, as well as his sons-in-law Jacob Brown, Kevin Korell, and Derek Gunn.

Graveside services for James Clair Means will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 29, 2024, at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Arlington, Texas, and his cherished memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness and selflessness. May he rest in peace.
