Hubert Grant "Hugh" Hardin

ARLINGTON -- Hubert Grant "Hugh" Hardin, 91, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, in Arlington. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane C, with Chaplain Steve Schwartz officiating. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Brookdale Hospice DFW, 2415 Avenue J, Ste 112, Arlington, Texas 76006. Hugh was born on Feb. 12, 1924, in Onyx, Ark., to Harvey Hardin and Pearlie Nichols Hardin. He served in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer during World War II. An Arlington resident since 1996, he retired as vice president of Finance at Stromberg-Carlson. In his early retirement years, he enjoyed golf and reading. Survivors: Wife of 70 years, JoAnn Hardin; son, Joe Hardin and wife, Diane; granddaughter, Courtney Hart and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Collin Hart and Chloe Hart.
