Harvey Lee Uselton

Harvey Uselton, a longtime resident of Arlington, passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 91. Harvey was deeply loved by all family, friends and neighbors. He treated everyone with kindness and was always ready to help anyone who needed him. He valued hard work and was a very dedicated family man. His family was very blessed by his longevity and goodness. He brought immense quality to our lives and will leave a never-ending void. He lived to enjoy many great grandchildren and he passed down his goodness through all the generations of our family. Harvey met, and later married Evelyn Brown in May of 1951 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage. They raised two children, daughter Linda and son Danny. Beginning their life together in Fort Worth, they later moved to Arlington in 1960, as Harvey was employed with General Motors. He retired from GM at the age of 56 and in his retirement years, then worked as a barber at East Park Row Barber Shop. He barbered all the way through age 86. As a barber, he made many friends throughout the years and continued many lifelong friendships with co-workers from General Motors. Harvey was a longtime member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington. Harvey loved people and lived a long and happy life, setting many great examples for his family. He was a wonderful example of love to his entire family. We have nothing but sweet memories of this man who will be greatly missed. Survivors: Wife, Evelyn Uselton; daughter, Linda Uselton Jackson; son, Danny Uselton, all of Arlington; Grandson, Brian Jackson of Magnolia; Granddaughter, Christie Uselton Zbranek & Dustin of Cypress; Grandson, Jason Uselton & Amy of Magnolia; sister, Melba Pitts of Mansfield and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
