Guy Roderick McWilliams

ARLINGTON -- Guy Roderick "Mac" McWilliams, 84, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with the Rev. Cooper St., Arlington, Texas 76001, 817-468-0444, or Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 S. Cooper St., Arlington, Texas 76015. Guy was born in Tulsa, Okla. He spent his youth in Tulsa enjoying sports and outside activities, including weightlifting. After high school, he graduated from the University of Tulsa with an undergraduate degree in accounting. He married and was blessed with three daughters, Constance, Laura and Sandra. He began his career in statistical accounting working for Amerada Corp. in Tulsa in 1954 and transferred to the oil fields in Tioga, N.D., as a roustabout in 1960. He left Amerada in 1968, moving to Texas and began his second career as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1998. He was very active in the union as a job steward, chaplain and sergeant at arms. Guy married Anne and both were active members of Advent Lutheran Church and Prince of Peace. They especially enjoyed singing in the choir. Guy also was active as a member of the Arlington Men's Garden Club and active at the local recreational center participating in square dancing and line dancing. Survivors: Wife, Anne; daughters, Constance Hearne, Laura Marsh, and Sandra Hallmark and husband, Jeffrey Hallmark; grandchildren, Aimee Belt, Angela Allen and husband, Clay Allen, April Hallmark, David Bowers and wife, Herlinda Bowers, Kelli Hallmark, Natalie Bolt and husband, Jimmy Bolt, and Phillip Hearne and wife, Heather Hearne; stepchildren, David Smith, Debbie Smith, Mark Smith, Nancy Michel and Robert Smith; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Elijah, Jacob, James, Jesse, Joey, Josh, Jude, MacKenzie, Madison, Megan, Noah and Sarah.
