Gay LaNoyce Thoms

PANTEGO -- Gay LaNoyce Carson Thoms, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2014, in Bedford, surrounded by family. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with the Rev. Yvonne Kiebler officiating. Gay was born Jan. 26, 1935, in Linden to Willis Alva Carson and Hazelle Beauchamp Carson. She had been a resident of Arlington for 57 years. Gay taught elementary school in the Birdville ISD and retired after 12 years of service with the Arlington ISD in the Spanish department. She continued to teach Spanish after retirement with local colleges. She was well loved by family and friends and will be missed dearly. Survivors: Husband of 54 years, William Thoms; son, David Thoms; daughters, Kathy Thoms and Pam Emery and her husband, Tim; grandchildren, Alyson and Carson Emery; and a host of other family and friends.
