ARLINGTON -- Frederick Raynor Daulton, 74, a gentleman and a patriot, husband, daddy and granddaddy, passed away at home on Friday, June 22, 2012, in Arlington. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Chaplain Jeremy Loy officiating. Inurnment: 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane B. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the non-profit Community Hospice of Texas, 610 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Born June 25, 1937, in Madera, Calif., Fred spent his childhood on the Daulton family cattle ranch and in 2003 he and his family attended the 150th anniversary of the continuous operation of the ranch. He was proud of his western pioneer family heritage. Fred graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1959, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity as well as an All-American Rifleman. After graduation from college, he was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force where he navigated 78 B-52 missions during the Vietnam War. He received his master's degree from the University of Texas, Arlington. Fred retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after a respected 20-year career, but remained closely aligned with both the investigation and security communities. He was an active member of the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. Fred was an avid golfer and a member of Shady Valley Golf Club for 33 years, enjoying countless rounds with his close golfing buddies. He enjoyed hiking, birding and yearly vacations with his grandchildren. Most of all Fred was a devoted, loving best friend to Claire. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie E. and Turner Lind Daulton, and his younger brother, James Robert Daulton. Survivors: He is survived by Claire, his wife of 53 years; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Shannon S. Wynne; daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Darren F. Lowe; grandchildren, Raynor Elizabeth and Wynonah Claire Bearden, Madison Elizabeth and Michael Frederick Lowe, Sam, Bella, Bowie and Augustus Wynne; brother and sister-in-law, Janice and Stephen Day Daulton; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Katharine, Matthew and Christopher; and many very dear beloved friends.
