ARLINGTON -- Everleigh Klaire Saldana was born Nov. 16, 2012, in Mansfield and went to live with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, 10 short days after her one-year birthday celebration. Memorial service: A celebration of Everleigh's life will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rush Creek Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 2401 SW Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. All family, friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to cover medical bills. Donations may be sent to Rush Christian Church in honor of Everleigh Klaire Saldana. She touched many lives with her bright blue eyes, button nose, infectious smile and laugh. She loved the Disney movie Monsters Inc. and had the cutest little baby growl, like her blue friend, Sully. She also loved her live, furry friends, Daisy, Duke, Bella and Maggie. In Everleigh's condensed life, she shared many family experiences with her parents and grandparents, more than most people have in years of living: she had a passport so she could go on a Caribbean cruise, Texas State Fair, Ice at the Gaylord, trip to the farm, horse ride, hay ride, airplane ride to Minnesota, countless UEA meetings, a school board meeting, visit to the Perot Museum, her daddy's baseball games, many trips to the movie theater, trips to the waterpark, two haircuts at the beauty shop, road trips to Louisiana and Houston, and swim lessons. Everleigh's parents, along with her Margarita and Grumps, cherish their time with her and spent some part of nearly every day of her short life together as a family. They spent every single second they had available all together loving her and feel blessed beyond words for knowing they did not take a single second with her for granted. Survivors: Everleigh Klaire Saldana's loving memory will sustain and comfort her loving parents, Wren and Kal Saldana; maternal grandparents, Robin Young and Stan Wilson; fraternal grandparents, Sonya and Carlos Vivar; maternal great-grandparents, Patsy Young, Pam and Eldon Young, Mary and Parker Wilson; fraternal great-grandparents, Harvey and Alpha Young, Yolanda and Carlos Vivar; aunts and uncles, Nicholas Vivar, Dale and Kathy Young, Joey and Rhonda Young, Ann Gerken, and Diane and Jem Woods; cousins, Lilah Garcia, Lindsi and Shelbi Woods, Garret and Heath Miliken, and many more cousins who didn't get the chance to meet her; Aunties Mindy, Mandy, Patty, Whitney and Jo Jo; and numerous close family friends and playmates.

Guestbook

  1. No words can express how sorry we are for the loss of your beautiful baby girl. Coach Kal left an incredible impression on our son as a coach, so I can only imagine how much Everleigh loved and admired her Dad. Kal and Wren, I know your family is very close and I know that is very important during this time. We are thinking about all of you.
