Ernest Iwao Kanemura

Ernest Iwao Kanemura, 86, passed away on February 14, 2019 in Arlington. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Dr. Josh Stowe officiating. Ernest was born on April 11, 1932 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Shoichi Kanemura and Kimiko Takeshita Kanemura. He held double Master's degrees. He also attended Seminary School. Ernest worked for American Airlines in Reservations. He was a wonderful husband who worked with the youth group at First Baptist Church in basketball and volunteered at Arlington Memorial Hospital for 16 years. He also loved the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Franis Kanemura. Survivors: Wife, Darlene Glenda Hughes Kanemura; sister, Rose Moon and husband, Pete; four nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Wade Family Funeral Home (817) 274-9233
