Elvira Cruz, 76, lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on August 19, 2022, with her family by her side. Elvira was always the caregiver, and there to help her family in need. She spent her life loving to sew and craft and was always the bargain hunter and lover of cats.

Elvira was born to the late Dimas Cruz and Andrea “Yayita” Perez on December 10, 1945 in San Angelo, TX.

Elvira is survived by her daughter D’Andrea Cruz; sister Emma Castro, both residing in Arlington, TX, and Dimas Cruz Jr. of Lubbock, TX

Elvira is reunited in heaven with her parents and husband Robert, who went to be with the Lord in 2019.
Additionally, waiting with open arms to welcome their loving sister are her siblings, whom she has missed dearly; Jose Juan Cruz Sr., Clementa Flores, Jesse Cruz, Linda Mullins, and Virginia Cruz.

Memorial service will take place on September 2, 2022 from 4 pm-8 pm, with rosary at 7 pm.

Burial of Elvira will be with her mother, Yayita, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, September 10, 2022 at 1pm.
