With profound sadness, we mourn the loss of Elizabeth “Betty” Hall, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and esteemed member of her community. Betty was born on May 29, 1934, in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, England and peacefully departed from this world on March 14, 2024, at 89 years old, surrounded by her loving family.
As a devoted homemaker, Betty’s nurturing spirit knew no bounds. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her six children, showering them with love, guidance, and unwavering care. Though she experienced the profound loss of two children at birth, Betty’s resilience and inner strength shone brightly, guiding her family through even the darkest of times.
Betty’s life was adorned with a myriad of passions and interests. She found solace and joy in the art of painting, channeling her creativity onto canvas with enthusiasm. Her love for animals, particularly German Shepherds and Scottish Terriers, was evident in the deep bonds she formed with her cherished pets over the years.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience her endless love and generosity. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Hall, sons John and Stephen Maynard, daughter Michele Morley, brothers Robert and Samuel Horrocks, and sisters Mary Horrocks and Muriel Hegarty.
Betty is survived by her children, Sharlene (Stephen) Heard, Elizabeth (Richard) McClure, and Robby Hall; grandchildren Bianca (Chad) Chafin, Misha Morley, Miles Morley, Mia (Kari) Morley, Malcolm McClure, Christopher Heard, and Nicholas Heard; along with great-grandchildren Matthew, James, Aaron, and Christopher Chafin.
Betty will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Clyde, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in a graveside service on Wednesday May 29th 2024, @ 2:15pm . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors charity, honoring Betty and Clyde’s commitment to service and sacrifice.
