ARLINGTON -- Dorthy Jean Burke, 74, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed peacefully December 20, 2013 in Arlington.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment: Burke Cemetery, Bryant Irvin Road, approximately 1 1/2 miles north of I-20 in Fort Worth.
Dorthy was born October 5, 1939 in Fort Worth. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. In Dorthy's career she was an Executive Secretary, and a staff member for Senator Kim Brimer.
Dorthy married Robert H. Burke in June of 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melba Lena Braswell and James Harvey Braswell.
Survivors: Husband, Robert H. Burke; daughter, Stephanie Traylor; grandsons, Devin and Cameron Traylor; brother-in-law, Donald Burke; and sister-in-law, Nina Burke.

She made me laugh and sometimes cry, and we shared many moments to remember. I pray you are comforted by the knowledge that she loved you both unconditionally. I know.
