ARLINGTON -- Dorothy Elaine Binkley, 78, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, in Mansfield. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Elaine was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Cushing, Okla., to Willie O'Neal Cook and Lela Blanche Macy Cook. She was raised in Cushing and Blackwell, Okla., and attended Oklahoma A&M. An Arlington resident since 1958, she was a member of First United Methodist Church. Elaine was one of the founders of the Arlington Girls Clubs and a member of the Arlington Woman's Club. She enjoyed sewing. Survivors: Husband of 59 years and nine months, Leslie L. Binkley; son, Steven L. Binkley and wife, Cathy; daughter, Vicki Binkley Whitehead and husband, Ron; brother, Wendell Cook; grandchildren, Franklin Binkley, Ryan Whitehead and wife, Amanda, Samuel Binkley and wife, Courtney, Rachel Trevino and husband, Gary, Nicholas Binkley and wife, Catherine; and seven great-grandchildren.   1. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Binkley – Elaine’s – passing. She was a dear friend of my entire family, and just thinking about her sly humor makes me smile. She was a treasure and will be sorely missed.     Words are difficult, but I want you to know I’ve been thinking about all of you during this difficult time. We have lots of memories and Elaine played a special role in the making of those memories. We had a special group and the mom’s were the glue of our youth.
