GRAPEVINE -- Cynthia Lynne Keesee Newsom, 52, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, in Arizona after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse. Cynthia was born in Dallas and was a longtime resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She grew up in Arlington and attended Arlington High School and Texas Tech University. She spent most of her career in the real estate management industry. Cynthia was an active member of Gateway Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Ray Keesee. Survivors: Son, Zachary Tyler Newsom; mother, Emma Joyce Myler and stepfather, Tom Myler; sisters, Sherry Keesee Rucker and husband, Bruce, Rhonda Keesee Fagala and husband, Kris; stepsister, Shelley Myler Williams; stepbrothers, Brian Myler and Wes Myler and wife, Susanne; nine nieces; two nephews; and four great-nephews.

  1. I still reach for the phone to call Cynthia and engage in our marathon chats about life, her son, my daughter, how to fix the problems of the world. I miss her laughter and her gracious kindness. I try to focus on being grateful for her friendship and I pray that Cynthia’s loved ones find peace and strength in their memories.
