October 8, 1952 ~ February 6, 2022

Born in: Louisville, Kentucky
Resided in: Arlington, Texas

Connie Rae Lawson, 69, passed away on February 6, 2022 at her home in Arlington, Texas.

She was born on October 8, 1952 to Russell T. Lawson and Gloria Faye Routon, in Louisville, Kentucky, but Texas was home.

Connie was bold, wild, vivacious and spirited with an overflowing amount of love for her family and friends. Creative and talented would be an understatement, as she had a very long list of interests and hobbies. While still working full-time as an IT Security Analyst for Humana, she still had time for numerous activities such as: sewing, baking, traveling, card making, DJ’ing in her online virtual community, karaoke, diamond art painting, folding beautiful origami dollars, playing cards, concealed carry classes, pool parties and any other adventures that came her way.

Throughout her life Connie belonged to multiple groups and associations. She was a very active member of several online social media groups, Moose Lodge, displaying her crafts in Two Girls Making It Crafts Co. and Wacky Women of Waxahachie. She also loved being a part of her card making, Bunco and Pokeno groups.

Above all else, Connie had an unwavering and never-ending amount of love for her family and friends. She is survived by daughters – Renae Stiff (husband David Stiff) and Shari Angella Sandoval (husband
Jorge Sandoval); grandchildren – Taylor Sandoval, Alysia Sandoval and AJ Sandoval; beloved GiGi to great-grandson – Asher Williams. She also adored her constant companion (and poodle) Scarlet.

We will miss her deeply and cherish our memories of her ~

A celebration of Connie’s life, come-and-go type service, will be held on February 11, 2022, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Connie will be greatly missed. I was a co-worker with Connie for the last 6 years and will always remember how kind she was to me. We had many phone and chat conversations over the years about work and some fussing about things that were going wrong at the office. She was always the voice of reason. Miss you Connie.

  2. Connie was my friend and fellow cardmaker for over 5 years. I will miss her great energy and fun loving spirit. It is so hard to say goodbye this wonderful lady! Rest in Peace Connie.💕💕

  3. Connie and I have been friends since Freshman year at SHS. We use to wear each others clothes. Talked on the phone for hours, went to team clubs on the weekends. We grew up and remained friends. Ran all over town, shopped, ate , traveled, sang karaoke, played trivia. We had some really fun karaoke parties. We spent many many hours at the Moose Lodge. Above all you were a wonderful, loving friend and I will miss you tremendous. Connie I will see you again on the other side. 💔

  4. An absolutely amazing person, she had so many many friends in the virtual worlds she loved. We all loved her so much and will miss her wonderful laugh, her incredible insight and wisdom. Sometimes God takes an angel from among us, here was one.

  5. CandleImageI knew Connie by her online psuedoname of Ladylove. She will be greatly missed by all her online community, and especially by her Australian friends who came to love and respect the fun girl she was.

Vale Connie, Rest well sweet girl.

  6. Connie,
You always made me smile! You are my mother’s complete opposite and that made your friendship with her a complete joy to watch. Point blank, honest and refreshing when it came to conversations with you. Bringing karaoke to a wedding was one of the highlights of my night. I didn’t get to hear everyone that sung but I had a good a time. You took some great pictures too. Singing in the house, cookouts on the back porch and a s wonderful friend to my mother. It was such an honor to know you! Love you lady!!! I miss you for me, my mom, your dog and your family most. Louisville Kentucky

  7. Connie, my heart aches that you are no longer in card class with us! You always made it so much fun and had the most interesting stories to tell! Till we meet again. Love you! Brenda

  8. CandleImageI had the pleasure to work with Connie. Her infectious laugh and positive attitude could be felt on every meeting we were on. Condolences to the family – her big personality will certainly be missed.

  9. Myself and others had the pleasure of working closely with Connie ( Ladylove) in virtual worlds. She was a valued member of our team and will be sorely missed. Such a shock to the system. Such a beautiful soul who radiated warmth and love wherever she went. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Fly high Connie. xx

CandleImageConnie (Ladylove) was my online partner in Osgrid, we enjoyed each others company for over one and a half years, there wasn’t a day went past that we never met up in Event Plaza and danced the day / night away, her passing was a shock and has left hole in my life and pain in my heart, she is not only missed by me but also her many friends both in Osgrid and other grids, She enjoyed being part of Clan’s band and being a DJ in both Osgrid and Aviworld, she had our home set up for Valentine’s Day, whick she did the day befor she passed, sadly we won’t be sharing that together, I loved her and allways will, we shared our life online as well as real life, she loved her family and grandkids and was allways proudly telling me about them, my thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Rest In Peace love, all my love i send to you and cradle you to your heavenly home.

  11. Connie was a wonderful friend, so caring and full of life. This world has lost her bright light, and it breaks my heart. I pray for God’s comfort to surround the family. And to my friend I say… until we meet again.

  12. We are on our way to attend Connie Rae Lawson’s final services. I could write all day and still not tell you all the ways she has made my life better! She was always smiling such a joy to be around. A true kindred spirit! I will miss our times together and our long talks solving all our problems and the worlds too! I will miss so much more! I had me a true sister with love and freindship. Until we meet again Connie, Love you forever!

    • Michele, she loved you very much. Thank you for sharing and coming. It would have meant so much to her. ❤️

  14. My Aunt Connie taught me more than I understood at the time over the years and I am very grateful to her for those lessons. Her passing was sad news indeed but I am glad for the memories I have of her. We all must leave this world at some point and I think she would be happy with her impact while she was with us. I am sorry that I could not have been there for the celebration of her life but I am sure she was honored by her friends and family.

  15. I work at Humana and had the pleasure of working with Connie for her entire time here at Humana. She was not only a co-worker, but a friend. Her ‘work family’ could always expect her positive attitude and bubbly voice whenever we called her. Truly a shock when we got the news, and a great loss to our team. One of those co-workers that will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Lawson….
