Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear “Clifton Neal Abernathy” Family and Friends,
Our most beloved memory of Elder Abernathy, was his awesome presence as one of our song leaders at California Lane COC. He was gifted at leading our congregation in truly worshiping God thru song, and in delivering the blessing of improving and uplifting our religious knowledge and spirits. He knew the importance of his role, by setting high the standard of delivering songs, always with his best effort. He instinctively knew the words of a song, were more important than the musical notes, and valued special lyrics that praised our Heavenly Father. Elder Abernathy knew decisively how to find that perfect pitch, tempo, and most importantly was always prepared and familiar with song, to lead us in glorifying God each given gathering.

Acts 16:25 “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God and the prisoners were listening to them.”

Thank you Elder Abernathy for all you have given us. You inspired us to always be “listening thru song” for the essence of our Lord and Savior.

    In Christian Love,
    Christopher and Laureen Flores

  2. Cliff was the sweetest little boy and grew up to be the sweetest guy cousin ever! God blessed him with a beautiful tenor voice. He was an awesome singer and song leader. He will be sorely missed by so many. Love to Martha and the rest of the family.

  3. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow. We will remember Cliff Abernathy for his warm and welcoming smile, and his beautiful singing voice. We loved it when he led the music during the California Lane church service. We will miss his kind spirit and encouraging manner. I hope you will rely on the Lord’s grace and comfort during this time. Love, Paul and Vicki Cauthen
