Clarice S. Jordan, age 80, passed away on November 15, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.

Clarice was born on September 8, 1942 in Minden, LA to Grover White and Eula White.
She loved Jesus and accepted Christ at a young age.

Clarice attended Grambling State University before uniting in matrimony to John L Nord and moved to Pittsburg, Ca. In this union four children were born. Clarice loved her family and was very active in her children’s early years and was known as the sports mom of the community. Her boys played all sports and she formed and coached cheerleader squads for the community girls.

Clarice worked in the dry cleaning industry where she met and later married her second husband Milton Jordan. Together with their entrepreneur spirits they became owners of several dry cleaner locations in Oakland, Ca. Her radiant and bubbly personality drew customers from near and far which was the core of their business success.

Clarice retired and relocated to her childhood home Lisbon, La in 1986 where she enjoyed gardening and working with young children. She served as a faithful member of Friendship CME Church. In 2008 Clarice moved to Arlington, TX to be closer to her grandchildren where she resided until God called her home.

She was preceded in death by parents, Eula Lewis and Grover White; brothers, Clarence White and Lenon Thomas; and husband, Milton Jordan.

Left to cherish her wonderful memories are; Her daughter, Vanja Gaither (Roosevelt) of Arlington, TX, Kenneth Nord of Atlanta, GA, Keith Nord (Lekesha) of Oakley, CA, and John A. Nord (Sharon) of Menifee, CA; sister, Grace Richardson of Minden, LA; grandchildren, Kenneesha, Leslie, Chrystal, Maurissa, Montel, Alexis, Derrick, Danielle; great grandchildren, Mekhi, Joshua, Gabriella, Londyn, Allandra, Genesis, Heavyn; and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 25, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Believers Connection Church. 1008 W Main St, Arlington, TX 76013

    Class of 1970, Clarice mother Mrs Eula Lewis Stevenson was my second grade teacher.
    And that being said we all lived near each other in the neighborhood.
    Her mother was friends of my parents and her sister Grace wound visit and Grace would come to my house and played.
    Clarice always had a beautiful smile
