Clara was born January 17, 1932 in San Saba, Texas, to Homer and Donnie LaGow.
She graduated third in her class at San Saba High School where she was the Drum Majorette.
In 1951, Clara worked for Convair Aircraft in Fort Worth, Texas. At that time Convair was building the B-36 Peacemaker Strategic Bomber. While employed at Convair, she met Arthur Wallace Doyle. They were married from January 17, 1953 until April 2019 (66 years), when Wallace passed away.
Clara and Wallace moved to Arlington, where they raised three children: Doug, Suzanne, and Don. Clara was employed by the City of Grand Prairie, as a secretary at the city library; from which she retired.

Things Clara enjoyed were caring for family and being a homemaker: Cooking, sewing, nurturing her children and grandchildren.
She was a long-time member of Highland Baptist church. Clara’s faith was very important to her. She loved reading her Bible, and listening to gospel music, especially Gaither homecoming songs.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, son Doug, her parents Homer and Donnie LaGow, and brother Doyle LaGow.
Clara is survived by her children: Jim and wife Leslie Key of Arizona; Sharon Doyle of Texas; Suzanne and husband Lee McClelland of Texas; Don Doyle and wife Christy of Texas.
Clara has 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters: Bonnie Watson, Golda Whitworth, Linda LaGow, and Jo Gast.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Bristol Pathways Hospice of Waxahachie for their loving kindness and care of Clara during her struggle with Dementia and her recent stroke. Thank you, Stephanie, Jennifer, Mary and Chaplain Jerry. This medical team loved Clara and were a blessing to our family. Also, we want to thank others who went above and beyond to love and care for our mother: Blossom, Amanda, and Shirl.
