ARLINGTON -- Charles E. Young, 51, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 in Arlington, Texas. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home. Charles was born on March 12, 1960 in Monroe, LA to Claude and Eloise Young. He was a long time resident of Arlington, TX and worked for many years as a probation officer for Dallas County Corrections. Charles was very active and loved playing basketball; taking road trips; going to the lake; and being outdoors. He enjoyed watching high school and college sports. Charles loved spending time with his family and was always willing to help others. He always encouraged his family to live by the golden rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Claude Young Jr; sisters, Della and Fannie Young. Survivors: Wife, Lasandra Young; daughters, Sophia Smith, Dominique Hill (Ronald), and Clarissa Smith; brother, Alex Young; granddaughter, Isyss Smith; and grandson, Ronald Hill III. For my Man Charlie Young (going back to where the nickname “BLEEP” came from), so many memories from High School to After High School, Driving the Bug from Monroe,all the way to New Orleans to a Rock Concert,and so many other memories. I can remember when your kids was born and how proud you were. We made memories all the way to the end by staying in touch a few times a month,THAT WASN’T NOTHIN FOR ME & YOU TO DO!!!
