  1. Chad was such a bright light with a twinkle in his eye and the most charming smile that was always on his face. He gave the best hugs and always made you feel like he was so glad to see you.
What a huge void we will feel Chad, until we see you again!
    You were loved! ♥️

  2. CandleImageTo the family and friends of Chad I send my deepest condolences. I met Chadwick in Lubbock Texas in 2014. Always full of life and energy. Biggest Baylor Bear fan I’ve ever met. Always dancing in place to their fight song showing me where he would be sitting with his dad and brothers on Saturdays. Always on the move always doing something I could think of many talks Chad and I had for hours walking. Chadwick was a great person and it breaks my heart knowing that I won’t be able to tell him what a good friend he was for me in a dark time in my life. I really wish I could make it to the services but unfortunately I live in Laredo Texas and won’t make it. Chadwick, thank you for the heart to heart conversations when I needed them the most. Rest In Peace dude. Your friend AJ Flores-Stellema

  3. Bill, Cathy, Pat & I are so sorry. As I read about Chad, I was reminded that Julee was your kids baby sitter years ago. We all pray that the peace that only Jesus can supply will attend you and your family.

  4. CandleImageYou did not know me, but I know your brother Billy. He is such a kind hearted soul, which I know you were! You’re smile is beautiful and contagious! RIP my friend. ❤️🙏🏻

  5. Cathy, Bill, Billy and Josh,
There are no words to express my condolences for your loss! Chad, and your family were such an important part of Ryan’s life. Such great kiddos and friendships from the “enchanted lake” group! The Boys were/are such great kids. Funny, bright, and always protective of each other and their friends! I shall remember Chad always! May God be with you always!

  6. Praying for the Vahrenkamp family. May you find peace and comfort during this time. I graduated with Chad in ‘96, and heard of this awful news just today. I’m so very sorry for your loss.

  7. Bill, Cathy, Billy, and Josh,
Denny and I are so sad for your family. I remember Chad being handsome and always smiling. When I think of one of your boys, all three names, Billy, Chad, and Josh, come to mind. What a wonderful blessing to have three sons.

  8. Praying for peace and comfort for your family. I have such fond memories of Chad and the Vahrenkamp family from the Young Junior High days.

  9. Spot on with this write-up, I truly believe this site needs a great deal more attention. Iíll probably be back again to read more, thanks for the information!

  10. Mr and Mrs Vahrenkamp, I just received the Baylor Magazine, which I never read, and happened to open it up and randomly flipped through it and saw Chad’s name and it took me a minute to realize why his name was written.

I had no idea and I am so very sorry for your loss. I was just talking about Chad and Bill several times over the last few weeks due to an incident I was involved in with a young lady that brought up memories of me at y’all’s house back in 10th grade when Bill was my Sunday School teacher. That time in 10th grade was tumultuous for me and Chad (and Bill) were instrumental in bringing eventual healing in my life.

If I can ever be of assistance please let me know. You can reach me at 254-744-7555.

Blessings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
    In HIM,

  11. Bill and family,

I was fortunate to have met Chad in an unfortunate time in both of our lives, and I was lucky enough to have called him my friend. We did the best we could to help and support each other, and I am extremely sad that I wasn´t able to keep in contact with him more recently. I am just now finding out about his call home to the Lord, I just wish I could of come into contact with him again sooner. Chad is a great man, and an even better friend. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss, for the worlds loss. Please take some comfort in knowing that Chad touched so many lives, and he helped me in my darkest of times. Thank you for bringing such a bright and loving soul into this world, Chad was more than a friend to me, he was a brother. I know he is looking down on all of us, rooting for us and cheering us on.

The Bears beat the Sooners this year, I know he had something to do with that! Sic’ Em!
