Arlington, Texas - Carolyn A. Smith, 87, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Arlington. Visitation: Thursday, March 25th, 6-8 p.m. Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral: Friday, March 26th, 10 a.m. Wade Family Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington 12 p.m. Carolyn was born in Little Rock, Arkansas September 27, 1933 to Arlie and Ora Monk. Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Dick Smith October 12, 1952. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree in Education. Carolyn worked at the Arlington Citizens Journal for 12 years. Carolyn enjoyed camping, bridge and traveling but the thing she loved the most was spoiling her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Survivors: Son, Scot Smith and wife, Diana; granddaughter, Carie Crumpton and husband, Tim; grandson, Jeremy Smith and wife, Alex; great-granddaughter, Nora Crumpton; brother, Marion Monk and wife, Margaret; niece, Beth Caipen and her son, Luke Caipen.
