Calise Blanchard Jr., 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Arlington.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Calise was born on October 20, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA to Calise Blanchard and Omie Motte Blanchard. He served in the U.S. Navy. Calise worked for the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office and Sheriff's Office and retired from the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Ann Fountain.
Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Janice Ann McBride Blanchard; daughters, Jo Lynn Newman and husband, Dariel and Karen Mullins and husband, Jason; sister, Sonja Marie VanAtta; grandchildren, Michael Newman, Jared Newman, Kristen Newman, Tyler Mullins and Bailey Mullins.

I was so sad to hear about Cal’s passing. He was always a friend and mentor. There is no one that I learned more about criminal investigation than Calise. He was the best. I have a memorial service for my wife’s brother Sat at 11:00am, were it not for that I would be there. I will forever cherish the cases we worked together, the good times we had and all he taught me.

Jan and family, please accept my deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers during your time of loss and sorrow. Cal not only was a friend but also a great mentor. He will be missed by all who knew him, may he rest now in the arms and grace of God.
Jan, I am saddened to hear of your husband’s passing. Nancy let all us former Goodman folks know. This is a hard time for you, and I fully understand the stress it puts on you and your family. My heart is heavy for you and I ask God’s blessing on all of you for peace and comfort during your grieving time. Georgia
