ARLINGTON -- Billy Steve Pruett, 65, passed away Friday May 24, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Texas Rangers Foundation to help underprivileged children or Good Shepherd Hospice, www.goodshepherdhospice.com
Billy was born November 1, 1947 in Cleburne to Billy and Dorothy Pruett. He proudly served his country during the the Vietnam War as a U.S. Marine. Billy was a longtime Arlington resident and retired from General Motors after 33 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Danny Pruett
Survivors: Wife of 37 years, Betty Pruett; daughters, Cindy Bowen and husband John, and Amy Hansen and husband, Erik; mother, Dorothy Pruett; sister, Janice Cooper; grandchildren, Austin and wife, Erika, Jonathan, Blain, Shelby, and Lindsey; great-granddaughter, Kara; and a host of extended family and friends.
Betty, you and your family are in my prayers. May our Lord give you strength and comfort in the days ahead. As you said, he will certainly be missed but is no longer suffering.
