Benny Johnson Benny Johnson, 70, passed away suddenly Monday, February 25, 2019 while bowling with friends. Visitation with friends and family will be on Friday, March 8, 2019, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013. Services for Benny will be the following day at Wade Family Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. and interment will follow. Benny was born February 19, 1949 in Bonham, TX and later moved to Arlington where he met the love of his life, Sandra in 1973. He was a graduate of Arlington State College, (now known as UTA) with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Benny was employed by General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin for 47 years as a Senior Systems Engineer, bowled competitively with friends and was the true patriarch of the family. Benny's intelligence, dry sense of humor, along with his intense love and dedication to family and friends will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Lela Johnson. He leaves behind his wife, Sandra, step-son Scott Cooper, granddaughter, Loren LaVilla and husband Jonathan, great-grandchildren Jonmark, Beckham and Blakelynn LaVilla, along with a host of family friends and colleagues. Pallbearers: Michael Cooper, Patrick McGuigan, Michael Stever, Gene Yockstick, Charles Mercado, Tommy Henderson, Dan Richards. Honorary pallbearers: Roger Reeves, Mike Bethel and Bob Abell.
