BEDFORD -- Angels in heaven rejoiced at the arrival of Barbara Jan Cantrell, 67, on Monday, June 16, 2014. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Barbara was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Fort Worth to Harry Edward Bishop and LaVene Evetts Bishop. A resident of the Fort Worth area her entire life, she graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1965. Barbara received a bachelor of science degree from Texas Wesleyan University. She was an active member of The Hills Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. Barbara invested her time in people. She was an encourager, supporter and advocate for people in need. She was a caring person who helped anyone who needed her help. Her friendships were very important to her. The world has lost a caring soul and will miss Barbara's beautiful smile. Survivors: Sister, Beverly Jo Bishop of Garland; aunt and uncle, Ann and Lesley Fisher of Brownwood; and an extended family consisting of 29 first cousins and their families.
