Anthony Lucas Miller

Anthony Lucas Miller passed away Friday morning, November 5th, in his home surrounded by his loving family. His time here was cut too short at the age of 49 after enduring cancer and treatments for the last few years. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 31 years, Melissa Miller; his loving Mother, Debi Myers; adoring sister, Shonda Yglesias; his nephew, Roman and niece Ava; as well as two brothers in law, Craig Liikala and Paul Yglesias who loved him like their own brother. He is preceded in death by his Dad, Gary Miller; Papa, John Taylor; and grandparents Dorothy & Gus Miller. Tony's passion was his work. A master craftsman, he worked in construction from the time he was 16 years old. At one time he was well sought after in the DFW area for his unique style designing fantastic staircases for high end homes and local celebrities. He enjoyed a quiet life at home with Melissa and their dogs. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, a fantastic BBQ chef, and loved muscle cars, motorcycles and rock and roll. Tony had a giant heart and was a tender, loving soul. His presence and big, gorgeous smile will be missed more than words can express. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, November 13 at 11:00am, followed by a gathering at Campo Verde to share memories, laughs and tears. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We already miss you little brother. Profoundly grateful for our time together and that you’re finally at peace. ❤️

  2. Tony, you knew how to live and embrace every moment. You had a lot of great qualities but the most endearing to me was the beautiful love you and Melissa shared. It was a love only some can dream of having.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to spend quality time with you.
I will never forget how incredibly grateful you were towards the support you had from everyone that was with you in your last days. Even in pain you managed to say, “thank you”.
Never did we think you will leave us so soon. I will miss you my Chef Tony. Love Always.

  3. My heart aches for you Melissa (and for the rest of Tony’s family!) I will always remember your wedding day and taking pictures for you before your ceremony and reception! You two were true soulmates and although your time together on earth wasn’t nearly long enough, you have an amazing guardian angel to watch over you until you’re reunited in heaven one fine day. I pray the beautiful memories you have will bring comfort through your tears as you remember all the beautiful times you both shared “in sickness and in health.”
    I love you Melissa.
    Micaela

  4. You impacted so many lives with your love, laughter and generosity. I am happy that you were in my life and you will never be forgotten. I love you brother

  5. Melissa, I am so very sorry. Lucas was truly one of a kind and I know how much this hurts. I can still remember after all these years when he came over to my house to install some crown molding for me, and then he ran into these really crazy corner angles, and it was an extremely difficult one to figure out how to cut. He must have tried a dozen different measurements and cuts, and on a few of them, I said “that looks great”! But not for Lucas. As you know, he wanted it to be absolutely perfect and would accept no less. We definitely had a few good grunts, laughs, and beers over that one!

Please accept my sincerest condolences over his passing, and if there is anything I can do I am here for you. I will keep both you and your family close in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. You’ve made some decent points there. I looked on the web to find out more about the issue and found most individuals will go along with your views on this site.
