Amy Joyce Sandberg, 69, of Mesquite, Tx passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 in her home. She was born March 7, 1953, in New York, New York. Amy was a loving mother with a passion for poetry, serving as a member of The Poetry Society of Texas. Amy enjoyed going on adventures with the senior center, spending time with friends and adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Deborah and her husband Joshua Toppins and grandchildren Kayla, Chelsea, Levi and Sofi of Arlington, Tx, and her brother Mark Sandberg of Nevada. Amy was preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Paula Sandberg.
As I am saddened by the sudden loss of you
I will cherish the memories I know hold onto.
I wish I could just hold you tight
And hear you say “it’ll be alright”.
I miss you now and I will miss you always
But I will try to take comfort in knowing
You are now my guiding light.

I just had an email today from the Membership Chairman of the Poetry Society of Texas letting me know that she saw on Facebook that Amy passed away earlier this year. Amy served as Treasurer for our organization for years, and I was very sorry to hear of her death.
