Albert Ray Pippen

March 11, 1963 — July 8, 2022

On March 11, 1963 God blessed our lives with a precious soul Mr. Albert Ray Pippen.

Albert was born to the parents of Herman and Betty Pippen of Hamburg, Arkansas. Albert accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, at Soldier’s Chapel AME Church. He was kind hearted and laid back, until you made him angry.

He attended Hamburg Middle School and Hamburg High School. He enjoyed running track, playing football, baseball, and basketball. He was one of the best linebackers, nose guards and defensive ends, and was an All-District Player. After graduating from high school in 1981, Albert moved to Dallas, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn. They were united in marriage on August 21, 1987, and their union was blessed with 2 sons Deontae, Brandon, and a daughter LaShandra,

Albert was a dedicated and diligent worker. At a young age he was eager to work and was first employed, with the Hamburg School System. He was employed as a young man working for the County Land Department in Arkansas. As an adult, Albert was employed at Bell Helicopter, and AVCOM where he was a supervisor in 2000. He then continued his career with Lockheed Martin located in Fort Worth, TX, for over 20 years.

Albert enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a grillmaster, “especially on dem briskets & ribs”! He took special pleasure in watching sports, and absolutely loved giving the die hard cowboy fans a hard time. Albert enjoyed fishing, and deer hunting, He and his family owned their own hunting camp, Pippen’s Hunting Club.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Herman Lee Pippen, Jr., brother in law, James Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mrs. Betty Pippen (Hamburg, AR), his loving wife of almost 36 years, Carolyn; his children, daughter LaShandra (Denisha); sons, Brandon (Breanna); Deontae (Antonia); 6 grandchildren, Destiny, Wysdom, Serenity, Deontae II, Harmony, Za’Maryia; sisters, Nancy M. Parks (Garland, TX), Pattine Robinson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), brother, Charleston (Bridgette) Pippen (Monticello, AR); a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
