Danny “Chief” Sustaire, 72, of Arlington, TX, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Danny was born on February 23, 1947 in Fort Worth to Blackie and Maxine Sustaire. After high school Danny enlisted and served in the US Navy for four years. He joined the Arlington Police Department on August 4, 1970 and retired from the force on November 15, 2001. Danny then went on to work for the Denton and Tarrant counties’ DA offices for years before closing out his career with the Tarrant County Sheriff Dept in 2016. In total, Danny served proudly in law enforcement for 46 years and continues to be greatly respected and loved by the community.
Being an officer was not Danny’s only role, he was also a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Helping people was his greatest joy and he would often go out of his way to do so. His kindness was never-ending, his faith never in doubt, and his friends and family kept his heart full of happiness.
Danny is survived by his wife: Pamala Sustaire, daughter: Stephanie Sustaire VanBrocklin and husband, Jarrod; son: Evan Sustaire and wife, Lauren; grandchildren: Jeri Layne Cox and husband, Collin; and Jacob VanBrocklin; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother: Leland Sustaire and wife, Norma; and sister: Teresa Alexander and husband, Jay; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
