A CPA, he was serving as a Senior Internal Auditor for L-3 Communications in Dallas, Texas at the time of his death.
Although Russell moved from Alabama many years ago, he loved returning to visit Auburn and Florence and recently served as chairperson for the CHS Class of 1976 Reunion.
A very devoted father, his children were the true joys of Russell’s life. He cherished them and was so proud of all they accomplished. He loved attending concerts, competitions – anything they were involved in and then sharing texts, posts and photos with family and friends.
An avid sports fan, he supported the Auburn Tigers and Chicago Cubs among others, and enjoyed playing tennis when he could. Russell loved to make people laugh and often took it upon himself to make sure everyone around him felt at ease. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend who will be sorely missed by all.
